Client

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISCKON), otherwise known as the Hare Krishna movement, founded by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabupada in New York in 1966, is today has millions of congregational members worldwide and invests in wide variety of community projects. The Bhaktivendanta Book Trust (BBT), a unit of ISCKON, is the World’s largest publisher on Vedanta literature.

Problem Context

BBT has lots of systems for finance, HR and inventory. However, there is no executive level dashboard integrating all the information. Senior management has to invest significant time and efforts to take decisions based on disparate IT systems. Considering the emergence of new social media tools, BBT management was also keen on engaging members and others in user generated content and expand the distribution of content beyond books. The objective was to create a digital platform that provides community engagement, online book ordering, user generated likes and recommendations.

Services Offered

Browne & Mohan consultants conducted an ‘as is’ analysis of the current systems, process to design and roll out ‘to-be’ processes.  A new web platform, spiritualQ, was created on Wild apricot membership management software and backward integrated with warehouse management system.
